Description
This is a character from a REALLY old story idea of mine that I never actually got around to writing. It had a temporary tittle called, "The Returning Warrior". It was about a man who had been stranded on a deserted island for ten years, and when he finally makes it home, it's to discover that everything has changed. His small little town had grown up into a large city. His parents had moved away. The girl he had been engaged to was married to someone else. It was basically a story about a man trying to find his place in the world after being apart from it for so long.

Oooh, I like how you colored his eyes--very intense. 
Though I know you've heard this from me before, he DOES rather resemble Kevin Sorbo a bit.
Again, the 3D hair doesn't match up quite as well to my eye--it looks good though--but the shading/highlighting on the beard is really impressive.
Makes it look more natural and hair-like than in the plain line art.
I especially like the shading on his face, the mix of shadows and highlights give it nice form and depth.
His nose seems somewhat smallish, but I think that's probably due to the manga influences on your art--hey, ever seen this tutorial by *Phobs? [link]
Or what about this nose tutorial thing by *Clarrisa? [link]
Sorry, I know you don't like looking at tutorials and stuff, but there are some interesting ones that give ideas on different things to try.
The patches on his pants seem a little random/haphazard, but I suppose that makes sense--rips rarely are uniform in nature.
Again, I congratulate you on doing a semi-background, and more than just the torso of a character!
It's been really great that you've been doing a picture a day, I hope you can keep this up, because each ones shows improvement in your art and coloring.
