Description
A quick digital painting of a weird, alien/dragon thingy. I did two versions. One with the weird "mist" around it, and one without. My idea, and line art, was so big that I had to draw it on two separate papers. Thank god for my sister, the GIMP, and the "cut and paste" tools.

Originally, I was going to give it front legs. And wings made out of mist, but I got lazy and gave up. Perhaps next time.

VERY well done. 
Your line art wasn't much to look at when I first saw the pencil sketch and I wondered at the effects you would rely on to spice it up--this is very impressive.
Everything has a nice depth to it, and I love the swirly tendrils of mist...I have hopes for your GIMP skillz yet, brother! (For you certainly didn't need my help figuring out THAT.)
And actually...cutting and pasting in the GIMP can be pretty damn tricky, especially when you're trying to match something up just right.
Too bad you got lazy about mist-formed legs and/or wings (that would've been a really neat touch), but this works very well on its own.
Like a great Wyrm of the cosmos.
I also like the shape of its tail.
