Second prize for *hostage-fiver for winning my, "Contest in the Shadows" Her character 'Whickes'.
Took me a LONG time to color and shade this one, and in the end, it's not one of my better pictures, I missed quite a few details, mainly on the clothes, but it was also my first time drawing this character, so cut me a little slack this time please.
And Hostage-Fiver? I'm really sorry it took so long, but I'll start work on your last prize from me soon.

Maybe you could just use a small black brush to draw in some rough lines to define the background more next time, eg the side of the path, some small rocks etc. Doesn't have to be too neat, just enough to give some definition.
